A senior executive at Fujifilm (Fujifilm) (4901.T) said on Friday that it plans to quickly sue Xerox (XRX.N) for compensation and the $6 billion 100 million merger deal was terminated by Xerox unilaterally.
"We plan to sue for damages as soon as possible," said &COO, assistant director of Fuji film.
In January, when Fuji film and Xerox reached an agreement, Fuji film will purchase Xerox and incorporate it into Fuji Xerox, a joint venture between the two companies.
But this week, Xerox and its Carl Icahn and Darwin Deason reached a compromise and cancelled the deal. Icahn and Deason opposed the acquisition of Fuji film, which underestimated the value of Xerox.
