South Korea's Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Resources said on Sunday that it planned to present Japan's "unfair practices" in restricting exports at a meeting of the General Council of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on July 23-24.
The widening political and economic disputes between South Korea and Japan threaten the global supply of microchips and smartphone displays.
In a statement, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Resources of Korea said that at the meeting, the focus would be on enhancing the understanding of Japan's export restrictions and seeking consensus among WTO members.
