British Prime Minister Johnson will announce on Monday that he will inject 1.8 billion ($2.2 billion) into the UK public health system in an effort to meet his European withdrawal commitments.
Johnson, the leader of the "Euro-quitting" in the 2016 referendum, has promised to invest 350 million a week in the NHS if Britain leaves Europe. The promise was printed on a bus.
This commitment has long been described by critics as fantastic, but he acted swiftly to raise funds to upgrade facilities and equipment and promote infrastructure projects in order to give people a sense of the benefits of his withdrawal from Europe.
